Meeting attendees will be able to:

• Discuss and learn about current issues affecting Farmington
• Meet Farmington City Council cantidates
• Register to Vote

Meeting will be focused on getting Joel Cook, Cory Ritz, and Carmen Samuelson elected as City Council candidates.

This meeting will be held at Robert Wilkes Barn (1108 South 650 West, Farmington, UT 84025) link to Google Maps

*The meeting location has changed from the Elementary School to the barn of Bob Wilkes. Please don't go to the elementary school for this meeting. Future meetings may be held at the Elementary School, but not this one.

The Farmington City Planning Commission and City Council will be holding a public hearing to consider UDOT's application. UDOT is requesting a change the master transportation plan to accomodate option 3 of the North Legacy to Legacy Parkway connector study.

Location: Community Art Center  (120 S. Main)

 

Here is an opportunity to protest the Legacy Connector. A group of legislators will be touring Davis County on Wednesday August 15th. Part of the tour will be a drive down the Legacy Parkway construction project. Here is the agenda for the day's events:

From a concerned Farmingon Citizen who made the Citizens group aware of the tour:

"The relevant portion of the agenda for the Davis County tour on August 15, looks like: This is an all-day event. It's not possible to tell from the agenda what time they will be at Park Lane. But I think it would be helpful to have some signs placed along the road protesting the Legacy Connector road. Also, Rep. Stuart Adams will be addressing the legislators on Davis County transportation issues during their 12:30 lunch at the Davis Conference Center. If someone knows Rep. Adams it would be interesting to know what he will say about our issue."

This committee meeting will focus on the Candidates for City Council and how to get voter turnout for the the September 11th municipal primary election.

To help our neighbors get out to vote for the primary election on September 11th the Farmington Citizens committee with have neighborhood canvasing party on September 10th (the night before the primary election) at 6:00pm in front of the Eagle Bay Elementary School. Bring good walking shoes and a big smile. Flyers will be made available.

Municipal Primary Election for Davis County Utah

The Farmington Planning Commission will be voting to a recommendation to give to the City Council about UDOT's application to amend the transportation master plan. This is a public meeting with a public hearing.

Location: Community Center, 120 South Main Street

The City Council will be making a decision on UDOT's application to amend the transportation master plan for option 3 of the Legacy to North Legacy Connector options. This is a public hearing with time for public comments.

Location: City Council meetings are usually at City Hall but may be at the Community Center depending on anticipated public attendance.

October 4th, 2007 - Citizens Committee Meeting at Bob Wilkes Barn.

7:00 PM - A work session for any who would like to come. This work session will be a strategy session and should involve the Joel, Cory, and Carmen. Dena and her finance committee should be there. Tauna and her publicity committee should be there.

8:00 PM - Everyone should come. This session can be more productive by implementing the strategy that was developed at 7:00. We'll be raising funds for the General Election campaigning efforts.
