Saturday Flyer Distribution and Hot Dog Wagon

We will be meeting at the Farmington Bay Elementary school Saturday at 11:00 AM to deliver our final flyers and to drum up interest in the City Council candidates with the hot dog/drink wagon. The candidates and wagon will be circling the neighborhoods, and we will deliver the flyers at the same time. Anyone who can come and help would be appreciated. A special thanks goes out to all those who have donate time and money to make the flyers, posters, and the wagon event possible.

Along with the newly placed signs throughout the neighborhoods this flyer and hot dog wagon will be the last effort by the Farmington Citizens Committee to get the word out on Joel, Cory, and Carmen. Please come on Saturday to show your support. Don't forget to vote next Tuesday the 6th. If you can't vote on Tuesday swing by the County Clerks office by Friday (November 2nd) and cast an early ballot.

Citizens Committee Meeting Tonight - Thursday July 19th - 8:00PM - Eagle Bay Elementary

Many of you already received a similar reminder from Roger Eggett yesterday. In an effort to reach a greater number of people this reminder is being sent again.

This is a friendly reminder that tonight (July 19th) at 8:00pm we will be meeting at Eagle Bay Elementary as a Farmington citizens committee. We are starting an hour earlier than previous meetings to make sure we are out of the building by 10:00pm.

Please attend and invite your neighbors. Our publicity committee has worked hard passing out fliers and distributing posters throughout the neighborhoods. However, we still need everyone's help inviting their neighbors and spreading the word.

Our goal for the evening is to finalize our support for three candidates for city council and determine what we can do to support them. We will also have voter registration books on hand to register any potential voters.

Please come and lend your support. Also, please consider bringing a check to help us support this cause.

We need representation in our city government and now is our time to make this happen.

New Meeting Time and Location for Citizens Committee Meeting

The time and location for the July 19th Citizens Committee meeting has been updated. The meeting will be held at Eagle Bay Elementary School at 8:00pm. This is one hour earlier than the previously planned meeting time. Special thanks to Jana Fowers for arranging the meeting location.

This meeting will focus on candidates running for Farmington City Council.  Attendees will also be able to register to vote.

Please inform your neighbors about the new meeting time and locations.  Here is the flier that will be distributed throughout Farmington neighborhoods.

Report of Citizens Committee Meeting on June 28th

We have finally put together the notes from last Thursday's June 28th meeting. The turnout was quadruple that of the previous meeting's turnout. The majority of the time was spent listening to residents who were considering running for the City Council express themselves. Four individuals were preliminarily chosen as possible candidates to support.

Notes from the Citizens Meeting June 28, 2007

June 21 UDOT Meeting for West Farmington Residents Connector Study

What: UDOT Meeting for West Farmington Residents to
When: June 21, 2007 Thursday 6:30PM - 8:00PM
Where: Davis County Fairgrounds
A notice was given by Lori Isenberg a "Certified Professional Facilitator" that a meeting would be held at the Davis County Fair Grounds.
From her letter:
"This invitation is being sent to everyone who has provided us with contact information and wanted to be informed about meetings regarding the North Legacy to Legacy Connection Study being conducted by Horrocks Engineers for the Utah Department of Transportation . This particular meeting is focused on the concerns of the Farmington West residents. Please share this invitation with your friends and neighbors who may also be interested. We apologized for the short notice; we are responding to your request to let you know as soon as a recommendation was made."
This appears to be a meeting to let West Farmington residents know of the decision to go with "option 3". The meeting will be a "facilitated question and answer session with UDOT personnel and other transportation planners".
All west side Farmington residents should attend this meeting and learn as much as they can about this "study".
